Tyrese Maxey was arrested back in April after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend. However, he’s now been released from jail and returned home to Philadelphia.
Maxey is currently working out at the Sixers facility in Camden, NJ. He was originally supposed to report to the team’s practice facility on Tuesday, June 13th, but instead decided to return to Philly.
The former NBA player spent about two months behind bars over allegations of domestic violence. According to TMZ Sports, the alleged victim claimed that she suffered injuries to her face while trying to protect herself from being hit. She also stated that Maxey kicked her in the head and body before leaving the scene.

April, Maxey was arrested outside his home and charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.
He was later ordered to stay away from his ex-girlfriend and their child. The charges were dropped once the alleged victim failed to appear in court. But according to TMZ Sports, the case has since been reopened and the alleged victim plans to press charges again.
Maxey played for the 76ers from 2011 to 2013. He averaged 2.9 points per game in 66 games in his career.
