Harrell, who averages of 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds, played for the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets last season.
Harrell‘s value as a luxury bench player is evidenced by the fact that over the past five seasons, he has been one of only two NBA players to score at least 5,000 points off the bench along with Jordan
Philadelphia are already dreaming that the partnership of Harrell and Joel Embiid, along with the contribution of James Harden, Tobias Harris and the emerging Tyrese Maxey, can lead them to NBA glory.
The NBA franchise haven’t managed to with the title since 1983.
The Sixers signed Harrell just a week after a court decided to reduce a felony marijuana trafficking charge to a misdemeanour possession charge.
In May 2022, Kentucky State Police caught Montrezl Harrell with more than a kilo of marijuana in vacuum-packed bags.
Harrell, who was facing a five-year jail sentence for alleged drug trafficking, pleaded guilty to the misdemeanour charge.
