The National Book Foundation has revealed the 2022 National Book Award longlist for Young People’s Literature. The five finalists will be named on October 4, and the winner will be announced during the awards ceremony on November 16, which will be held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
The 2022 longlist for Young People’s Literature:

This year’s longlist features two authors who have been previously recognized by the National Book Awards: Traci Chee, who was a finalist in 2020, and Anna-Marie McLemore, who was longlisted in 2016 and 2021.
A total of 296 books were submitted for the award. The judges are Jewell Parker Rhodes (chair), Becky Albertalli, Joseph Bruchac, Meghan Dietsche Goel, and Lilliam Rivera.
