The Grizzlies have been without Ja Morant since March 5 when the All-Star guard stepped away from the team following a series of questionable decisions.
Memphis has gone 3-3 in six games without Morant. Interim starter Tyus Jones has stepped up in his absence to prove he is one of the best backup point guards in the NBA, averaging 16.3 points, 7.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in that span.
The Grizzlies are set to take on their rival Warriors on Saturday, which is good news with the game being played in Memphis. Golden State has been one of the worst road teams in the NBA this season. It has lost nine consecutive away games and owns a 7-27 road record on the season — tied for the third-fewest road wins in the league.
Will Morant be available to return for the Grizzlies’ home game against the Warriors? The Sporting News has you covered with the latest updates on Morant’s situation below.

How long is Ja Morant out?
Morant will not be available for Saturday’s game against the Warriors. Earlier this week, the NBA announced Morant has been suspended for eight games for “conduct detrimental to the league.”
The following has been released by the NBA.
The suspension was backdated to include the six games he already missed when he was away from the team. Morant will be eligible to return on Monday, March 20 against the Mavericks.
